Aga Re-Enamelling – Give Your Cooker a Fresh New Look

Is your Aga looking a little tired? Perhaps the enamel has chipped, faded, or simply no longer suits your kitchen. Re-enamelling can be a simple, cost-effective way to bring it back to life. We offer a flexible re-enamelling service that can refresh just the top plates and lids or completely transform your cooker with a full colour change.

Protect and extend your Aga cooker’s life

Re-enamelling doesn’t just improve how your Aga looks – it also helps protect the cast iron underneath and extends the life of your cooker. With our careful workmanship and high-quality enamel finishes, we can restore that signature shine and character your Aga is known for.

Our Hassle-Free Top and Lid Exchange

Where possible, we also offer a top and lid exchange service, where we deliver pre-enamelled parts to your home and fit them for you on-site. It’s a smooth, convenient way to get the job done with minimal disruption to your kitchen.

With more than 30 years of experience working with Aga cookers, you can count on us for expert advice, great service and results you will love.

Is Re-Enamelling Right for You? Or Is It Time to Go Further?

If you own an Aga

While re-enamelling is ideal if your Aga is working well and just needs a fresh look, it may not be the right solution if you’re having issues with heat retention, burner performance, or internal wear and tear. In those cases, a full refurbishment may be the better long-term investment. You can learn more about what’s included and see a full price guide on our Aga refurbishment cost page.

If you are looking to a buy an Aga

If you’re exploring other options, we also stock a selection of fully rebuilt Agas, restored by our in-house team to the same high standards. They are ready to install and often a smart alternative to buying brand new. To explore fully restored models as an alternative to re-enamelling, visit our reconditioned Aga prices page for more information.

Not sure which route is best for you? Give us a call – we’re always happy to talk through your options and help you find the solution that fits both your home and your budget.

Very friendly, very helpful, and lots of advice. The whole process from visiting the showroom, to the installation of our Electrikit Advanced 2-oven Aga in Northern Counties Cream (our choice - though with so many enamel colours to choose from, well.....!}, went extremely smoothly - and ended with a quick run through of operation, and time for questions and answers. After decades of using all the different types of Aga, and Rayburn, this new one is a whole different kettle of fish and takes a bit of getting used to. But it is definitely the Aga for today, offering lots of flexibility, yet still the delights of cooking in a proper cast-iron oven. To save fuel, one doesn't have to switch the whole caboodle off for the summer, as one might have done in the past - or, if you go away on holiday, it is no different from switching off your immersion heater. To increase flexibility of use, one can programme the Aga, just as you might your house central-heating/water heating - plus you can put all this on an App on your 'pnone, so you can switch the Aga on and off etc., remotely. However, with just having moved house and, so far, every day being a whirlwind of seemingly essential jobs, we haven't had time to try out all this modern tech.. But, we will!Thank you, all at John Wray!

Exceptional - a brilliant company to do business with and surely the best AGA company in the north of England (if not nationally). I cannot recommend Stuart and his team enough - from the moment we contacted John Wray Country Stoves, we felt valued as customers and nothing was too much trouble. All of our questions were answered very knowledgeably and the installation process was 100% stress-free (including the removal of our old AGA). Stuart even made a minor repair to my woodburner, even though he and his colleage (another lovely guy) had worked all day to install the AGA and had a long drive back to North Yorkshire .All in all, the best people we've worked with during our house renovations and highly recommended.

A really super job from John Wray Country Stoves and AEM Range Cooker Services converting our gas Aga to the Electrickit Advanced. It was fascinating to see. Very excited to get to grips with it. I am enjoying the induction hob and I can now turn the oven on from the train home, using the App.The team at John Wray were so friendly, helpful and straightforward to deal with from first contact through to installation. They and Alex from AEM were a pleasure to have around on the day of the work. I can highly and whole heartedly recommend them.

Thank you to Stuart, Ben and Louise for a great experience installing my much loved stove. I waited a year for this beauty to be installed when I moved house, and then was let down. But Stuart pulled out all the stops and came to my rescue. Louise was on hand to help and support and Ben cleaned up all the mess and made the whole experience effortless. I'm keen to save up for an Aga so any advice or support will be appreciated. A great team and an impeccable service.
